What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your browser. Cookies let sites remember things about your visit, such as your preferences or what pages you have viewed. Some are essential for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
This page also covers similar technologies (local storage, pixels, and tags) when we use them.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
We do not currently set strictly necessary cookies of our own. Some browsers may set short-lived session cookies for security purposes (for example, to prevent form abuse).
Analytics
These help us understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it. They are set by our analytics processors when their scripts load.

Marketing
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.
Third-party access
The cookies above are set and read by third parties acting as our processors:
- Google LLC (Google Analytics 4)
- Microsoft Corporation (Clarity)
- Loops Inc. (only when you submit a form, for processing the submission)
Each processes data outside of Canada. See our Privacy Policy for the full list and the safeguards that apply.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to monitor how the site appears in Google Search. Search Console does not set cookies on your browser and does not collect new data from your visit. It reports on data Google already collects through its search engine.
How to control cookies
Through your browser
Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies will not break this site. Instructions for the major browsers:
Opt out of Google Analytics
Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent your browsing data from being collected by GA4 across any site that uses it.
Opt out of Microsoft Clarity
You can stop Clarity from recording your visit by enabling Do Not Track in your browser, or by using a content blocker that blocks clarity.ms.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as we add or remove tools. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
